Yes, I am a Gackt fan. Gackt is cool. Gackt is not a girl. Whether or not he is gay is irrelevant. The reason why he does Yaoi concerts is because Japanese fangirls want more than boring normal rock concerts. They want to see some ACTION. Japanese girls have perverted tastes...0_o Whatever floats your boat, I guess xD Total Cd's of his so far: 02 I'm getting there!

Yamamoto Yusuke in dramas lately~

dramas lately~

Tumbling

from dramawiki:

“Azuma Wataru (Yusuke), a third-year student at Karasumori High School, is a devil who strikes fear in the hearts of people. One day, Azuma is told by his form teacher that he has to participate in a club activity in order to make up for the lack of second-year students. The short-tempered Azuma cannot last long in whatever he does. At that moment, he learns that Satonaka Mari, the beautiful transfer student in his class, has joined the female rhythmic sports gymnastics club. He joins the male rhythmic sports gymnastics club, a club activity with very few people under the captain, Takenaka Yuta. They are ridiculed by the coach of the female rhythmic sports gymnastics club, and others, and are also hardly allowed to use the gym. However, when a sixth boy joins the club, Yuta decides to take part in a team competition with his long-sought six members …”

Reasons to watch:

  • Yusuke has RED HAIR. REEEEEEEED
  • Seto Koji is there as well ^_^
  • It’s a RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS SPORTS DRAMA. Enough said (xD)

Rinne no Ame (Rain of Reincarnation)

from dramawiki:

“The Brothers, Kohei and Shuhei Mikami were abandoned by their father, after the mother passed away years ago. The intellectually disabled Shuhei (Seto Koji) is working in a factory, where he is violently abused by the manager on a daily basis. When Kohei (Yusuke) finds it out under unpropitious coincidences, he kills the man in affect and deprives money. He buries the corpse in the mountains with his younger brothers help. During the criminal investigation is it Shuhei who soon draws the attention of the Detectives on the Mikami brothers through his diffus behavior and words. Even through he is unable to comprehend the murder of his older brother and doesn´t understand the situation, the Police uses Shuhei as deciding factor in arresting the culprit.”

Reasons to watch:

  • Seto and Yusuke team up again!!!
  • Seto is “intellectually disabled” (meaning it’s gonna be either really good or really bad)
  • Yusuke is a MURDERER (very different from his other roles)

Shaken BABY!

from dramawiki:

“Hiroshi (Yusuke) is a very very normal second year student of Tomei University.

One day, having being dumped by his girlfriend Akemi, for the reason that “You’re boring because you’re too normal,” and after being coerced by his classmate Shun, to change his too normal self, he decides to join Tomei’s infamous “Shakespeare Research Team” or “Shaken” for short.

The members of that group were comprised of truly unique people including, Ryuta, who believes acting with one’s emotion is of upmost importance, Eita, an aspiring actor, Sakurako, a new member and one who loves attention, and Yukiko, the sempai main actress with the Do-S character.

Will Hiroshi be able to escape this hell of normalcy? This silly, perverted, serious youth comedy is “Shaken BABY!” — Fuji TV”

Reasons to watch:

  • Yusuke is normal/plain/BORING (he’s never been that before xDD)
  • It sounds like one of those crazy dramas of randomness like the amazing Otomen drama (Kimura Ryo=LOVE)
  • It’s perverted and youth-centred, which means AWESOME.

Random Rant on Stuff

I know how late this is, but I feel like writing about stuff, so here goes!:

Mizushima Hiro married pop star Ayaka back in February early this year after dating for 3 months.

Miyavi (one of the most popular visual kei artists around the world) left the PS Company (who manage artists such as alicenine., The GazettE, Kagrra, Kra, SuG, Screw and Vivid) after his final live during the April 5th PS Company concert.
He also married pop singer Melody. (in March) AND his little baby girl was born on July 29th this year.

Now what I'm thinking about these things is hooooooooooooooooooly craaaaaaaaap~
I mean seriously, for Mizushima to get married at 25 and Miyavi at 28 is really a kind of wake up call. I mean, no offence to Miyavi, I really respect the guy and all that he's doing for Visual Kei and Jrock overseas and in Japan, but how many of us truly, honestly thought that he'd get married? Let alone so soon?
It's like the young men we've been watching for all these years have finally started to grow up, and they're starting to move forward and beyond in their lives. Maybe it's just a way of telling me I need to grow up and become more responsible, since these people that I look up to and admire are? Or maybe it just means that they're getting old?
LOL either way I think that this year should be a turning point for some aspect in my life (it already is kind-of, what with university and a job and stuff). I feel like starting something new and trying something different next year. I think I'll get singing or guitar lessons.

Also!!
People should love Girugamesh's album Music. I mean seriously, what is the deal with everyone bagging them out and saying that their style has changed and that it sucks. People must not understand the term "experimenting". Seriously, look it up in a DICTIONARY people, I'm not gonna let you be lazy and link a definition.
Another point I'd like to say is that no matter WHO YOU ARE and WHAT YOU SEE/HEAR, you will always be influenced by your surroundings. Anyone who had even a smidgen of knowledge about the Japanese music scene would know that the whole techno thing that Giru did in music is actually the rage now. Now you might say that this means Giru "conformed" and all that crap, but ever think they liked the sound and wanted to test that stuff out? Besides, in case you haven't noticed, each Jrock and Visual Kei band isn't 100% non-conforming and original. Don't believe me? There is the whole leopard print movement (including SuG and LM.C, and NORMAL CLOTHING STORES OH NOES!!) and the tartan movement (Abingdon Boys School, AnCafe, Mix Speaker's, Inc. and ALSO NORMAL CLOTHING STORES>> MORE OH NOES!!) aren't exactly new. And in case you didn't notice, TECHNICALLY, rock came from English speaking countries *COUGH* US & UK *COUGH*.
THE THIRD POINT is that Giru used that genre of techno-rock and made it their own, and it sounded GOOD. I really don't see what the issue is here.

So peeps, know where your complaints can go?

Straight to Bakanishi's letterbox.

Finally the second (tentative) casting for KYOUYA

Okay now sorry for the long wait, but here's my Kyouya post.

Now before anyone yells "MIZUSHIMA HIRO" in my face, let me tell you first that casting Mizushima (though I love that man and all his model-hot-ness despite being married) would be the WORST POSSIBLE CASTING.

Why?

Because that would be called TYPECASTING my friends. The majority of his roles are the semi-serious characters (like in Mei-chan no Shitsuji, Kamen Rider Kabuto), or the "I'm an average guy (Room of King>>seriously check it out it's AMAZING>>, MR BRAIN) who's slightly evil and playa (Hana Kimi, Zettai Kareshi). Playing Tamaki would really be a test of his abilities, not Kyouya.

And also, dudes, DITTO FOR TAMAKI HIROSHI SO DROP IT OKAY??

Kyoya Ootori:

First up:
Sato Yuuichi:
This guy has not been given much credit up until now and is a pretty fresh actor, with his biggest role being Tezuka Shinobu in Here is Greenwood. HOWEVER-- I think that a role such as Kyouya's would really bring out his talent. In Greenwood, Sato played a fairly stiff character, which is why with Kyouya (being more lively in an evil and scheming way) he would be able to pull it off really well. That, each time he cocked his head while glaring my heart just melted~<3
*COUGH*ANYWAYS. . .
He has the right look for Kyouya, his voice is also pretty spot on. Kyouya would be pretty good if played by Sato. And he's exactly 20 years old this year, so it's not stretching it much at all casting him!

Riki Miura:

Okay, this guy also got me from the first 5 minutes of Here is Greenwood. I don't know what it is, but I really like this guy's acting style. Again, he's a small fry, only being in some Sentai Ranger show prior to Greenwood, but I still think this guy would give it a good showing (his Kyouya-ness is really showing through in HiG, without being excessive). I really want to see him become more serious for a Kyouya role, since he's got the humour down.
Unfortunately, he's 26. WHY ARE THEY ALL OVER 25??? It's cruel! But he's had less exposure, so it's not wrong for him to play a teenager since he hasn't been one for 10 years *COUGH* NINO *COUGH*.

Ninomiya Kazunari:
Nino has almost never played an evil character, or a remotely evil one, save for his character in Ryusei no Kizuna. BUT, this character did open up a world of possibilities! At least, it convinced me that Nino can be something other than a poor, unfortunate nerd who everyone thinks is adorable *COUGH* Yamada Taro Monogatari, Stand Up!!, DOOR TO DOOR*COUGH*. Also, anyone who's a fan or ARASHI and watches their shows will know Nino has an almighty mean streak as a shizz-stirrer (sorry about the lack of a better expression), fitting Kyouya nicely. HOWEVER, Nino is kinda short and a bit hunched over, which takes away a few coolness points as Kyouya, and believe it or not he's actually 26 years old. I know he doesn't look a day over 20 so why not, but remember people, as well as making room for newcomers who aren't lucky enough to be part of a massive (and possibly evil) organisation that mass produces idol angels, we can't have our actors playing teenagers until they hit 40, and casting like this would encourage them!! DO NOT ENCOURAGE THEM.

Nishikido Ryo:
As I am writing this, I think Nishikido and internally go "LOL". I'm just so used to his "puppydog emo" expression that makes him incredibly adorable when he's looking sad. That is why I'd like to see him as Kyouya. He has a history of being casted as characters with obvious chips on their shoulders (Ryusei no Kizuna, Orthros no Inu>>GOD I love him in this one>> and Last Friends to say the least), so I'd like to see him in a more comical yet sinister role (without him being actually sinister, if you understand what I mean). But this said, [insert age rant and comment on Johnny's Entertainment]. He IS 25 this year.

Matsumoto Hiroya:

DUDE, he's been everything BUT a Kyouya through all his small roles. How do I know him? Through the Air Gear Musical as Juliet (yes, the gay one). He was also in the Boys Love movie as the best friend who kills the model, Biyo Shonen Celebrity as the make-up artist and in Giragira as a host. He's also been randoms in heaps of shows, and odds are that you've seen him die in the first episode of Orthros no Inu or saw him run around in the first 3 episodes of ROOKIES, but the guy is so adaptable that you wouldn't realise who he was unless you're really good at remembering faces (which I happen to be). I'd like to see him transform into Kyouya, and he's 23 so that's not so far a stretch for him!

Okay, now that Kyouya's out of the way, the next character will be MORI (because writing this now I just thought of about 5 people already -_-"

BEAKING NEWS

I interrupt the OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB DORAMA TENTATIVE CAST POSTS to bring you breaking news from the Gackt front.

There is a survey being run by Gackt's peeps where overseas fans are asked to fill out a questionnaire about how they would feel if an international DEARS fanclub was opened.

i.e. We're testing the international fanclub waters and seeing how many people outside of Japan love us/Gackt.

i.e. Will we earn enough money opening an overseas DEARS.

i.e. If enough people sign and comment we will open up an international DEARS.

About friggin time I say!

So like dudes, go fill it out yo!!

Stuff-dayo!

FIRSTLY: Courtney, watch the NANA anime because:
1. it has awesome music and
2. Romi Paku is the awesome NANA
Also the manga has the crappy half-ending where someone REALLY IMPORTANT dies and this has DEVASTATING EFFECTS to NANA, and LOL I'm not sure if in the anime they show that Shin (the Sho-boys' character in the movie) is a man-whore (prostitute if you didn't get that reference) xDD.

Okay, other than that. . .

Just to clarify things, there will NOT be an Ouran High School Host Club live-action drama at this point in time (March/April 2009). And NO, it's not because they wouldn't be able to pull it off (one only needs to watch the amazingly and awesomely adapted Nodame Cantabile drama to see that) or because they can't get the right characters (there are MANY MANY twin guys in asian the entertainment industry and there are even more "halfies" out there).
The reason being; no-one really wants to make it or pick it up. Most likely because at the moment the "high-school love", "crossdressing" and "host club" dramas have been done like dinner to the extent that any more attempts at cooking would create a half-baked or extremely burnt meal. People also would get bored of the genre. Ouran would be like a reheated meal of the leftovers from Hana Kimi and Yukan Club instead of something fresh and new.
You also have to consider the time delay. Hana Kimi's manga finished when? Around 2004 ? And the drama was only made in 2007. So if we think about this:
    1. Ouran High School Host Club's manga is still ongoing.
    2. It took approx. 3 years after the Hana-Kimi manga was finished before the "Hanazakiri no Kimitachi e" drama was created and televised.
So basically it's just not the right time yet, but I wouldn't rule it out as a possible future drama.

As with every post about the Ouran Host Club POSSIBLE drama, I guess one needs to put up who they think would be in the cast, right? HERE GOES:

Tamaki Suou:

Fujita Rei:
Okay, this guy is ACTUALLY French/Japanese, so he's technically most suited to Tamaki. He's also got lots of potential in acting (Fuma no Kojiro, Princess Princess D are his memorable roles) and he's actually a proper singer *COUGH* Tamaki Hiroshi *COUGH*. He hasn't had a character role of Tamaki's calibur, but who knows maybe he could do it. He's also not really old (about 20 this year) so it's better than casting someone who's 26. He can also speak French and English (DOUBLE BONUS!!)

Wentz Eiji:
Another halfie (German-American/Japanese) like Rei who can also actually sing (from his experience in WaT with Koike Teppei). I've only seen him in two roles (in Gokusen LOL and Gegege no Kitaro) but I think that he's well-versed in lively comedic characters similar to Tamaki (giving him the advantage over Rei). He's also the same age as Rei (20). The only downer is that he can ONLY SPEAK JAPANESE, so any other languages he attempted would EPICALLY FAIL (sorry, had to put that in).

Yamamoto Yusuke:
I saw his name down on another forum as Tamaki and liked the idea. He is good at comedy roles (they seem to be his most famous roles such as the "Ghost boy" in Hana-Kimi and his character in Puzzle) and he has played a character VERY similar to Tamaki (Kamishiro Tsurugi in Kamen Rider Kabuto). The other two actors have the potential to look good with real blonde hair as being half Japanese they naturally have slightly lighter hair. But neither (to my knowledge) have gotten their hair colour as close to blonde as Yusuke has while still retaining a natural look (or at least as natural as a blonde Japanese guy can look). He is also (coincidentally) the same age as the other two, however he is also at a disadvantage when it comes to languages.

Mizushima Hiro:
I CONSTANTLY saw Mizushima's name down as Kyouya and wondered why. Mizushima would be very capable of an excellent Tamaki. Despite getting casted as more grumpy/normal/serious characters (Tendou in Kamen Rider Kabuto, Soshi in Zettai Kareshi and Shibata in Mei-chan no Shitsuji) his more lively characters are really well acted and are really natural to watch (especially Mori in Room of King, but also Nanba in Hana-Kimi). He can also speak english like a native speaker and his accent is AMAZING. The only negatives I have with this casting would be that Mizushima's acting when it comes to comedic characters seems a bit forced compared to his cooler characters (probably the ONLY reason someone would consider his Kyouya part). The only other downer to this choice is that Mizushima is suffering from the recent Tanorexia pandemic (currently affecting Hayami Mokomichi, and many other actors who have come into contact with tanning booths) and going blonde would make his skin EXTREMELY DARK while Tamaki is a nice shade of white.
P.S. Mizushima would fail as Kyouya because he can't act serious and funny at the same time without his acting coming out as a bit forced. I also don't think he can be quite that evil, compared to the GREAT acting of Sato Yuuichi in Here is Greenwood (what an AWESOME student council representative he was!).

Next time: THE CASTING FOR KYOUYA!

[NEW TOUR ANNOUNCED] AURAL VAMPIRE + GPKISM + DJ SISEN
Category: Music

Move over Gwen Stefani!

Get
ready to be dazzled when the real Harajuku posse takes over Australia
in April 2009.

Japan’s flamboyant synth-pop duo, Aural Vampire,
teams up with Melbourne’s own gender-bending trance master GPKISM
on a four-date East Coast tour.

Product of both Tokyo’s vibrant goth subculture and the city’s
underground dance music scene, Aural Vampire’s
front woman Exo-Chika flaunts fangs in the band’s videos and takes
to the stage in gothic-inspired haute couture.

Raveman, her mysterious partner, dons a freaky “Friday the 13th”-style
hockey mask – a nod to the duo’s love of 80s B-grade horror
films.

Having just inked with Japan’s biggest indie label, Avex Group
and becoming label mates with acts such as Arctic Monkeys, Operator
Please and Jonas Brothers, Aural Vampire will be their
first album on the label later this year.

Touring with them are GPKISM, who has been the darling
of the American and European trance circuit; and the explosion of crazy
colours and dirty trance music that is Tokyo’s DJ SISEN.

Don’t miss Aural Vampire bring Harajuku to the
stage in these Australian cities; it’s a lot closer than Tokyo!

MIYAVI IN AUSTRALIA?!

The details are on the site, but basically:

*MIYAVI CONCERT IN OZ!*

I have a very kind offer from a person who is organising two Miyavi concerts who is willing to help us bring Miyavi down to Australia for a gig/live since she knows his manager.

But before that, we need a show of hands to see how many people are willing to go to his gig. 1000-1500 people are needed for him to come. You have to be at least 75% sure, because if it's organised and only like 100 people buy his tickets nationally, it'd be cancelled.
And if you have friends who want to go, include them as well please!

***PLEASE CHECK THE PETITION BEFORE YOU SIGN IT IN CASE SOMEONE HAS SIGNED UP FOR YOU OR PEOPLE YOU INTEND TO SIGN UP FOR.

We need as much people as possible or it can't go ahead.
It's most probable to happen around July-August, which I think is a good idea since our exams run in June.
And she said it most likely would be hosted in Sydney, but it depends which state has more people I guess. But I am also trying to make a live in Melbourne too.

So just to summarise:

Venue: Sydney? (and Melbourne?)

Date & time: July-August (To be confirmed as well; it would most likely be an evening show)

Price: 6500yen? (This is unconfirmed too, it's just an estimate)

NOTE: A minimum of 1000 people are needed to attend each live. Therefore for 2 lives, 2000 people must be present.
Miyavi wants more to attend of course!

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

That's from the site. Go here to sign the petition!:

Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) drama

This is one of THE BEST dramas I have seen out of all my dramas.

It made me laugh my head off, and the ending actually made me cry (yes, me the person who laughs at people who cry in movie theatres).

It's also the best interpretation of the manga EVER.

I take back what I said about the whole "Night can't be TANNED!!" thing. Hayami Mokomichi was the BEST Night Tenjo, and Mizushima Hiro (you guys should know who he is by now xD) was really good as Soshi. Aibu Saki was really good, and the only thing I hate about her is because of the script writers, not herself (Riiko was SO annoying in the show sometimes because she was so cruel to Night). Sasaki Kuranosuke was also a really good Namikiri Gaku, who instead of being a spokesman/salesman was the scientist who created Night. He was very good at playing a conflicted scientist with a flippant personality and an exceptionally good pokerface xD

WATCH IT PEOPLES.

YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

and LOL Hayami is 2cm shorter than Shirota, but he's still HUGE.

"Ore wa sekushi??" LOL (=sexy btw)
<<the only pic I could find of Sasaki (Namikiri)

<<< Hayami (Night)

I am sick (x_x)

I came down with a cold on Friday, the throat-ish one that makes it hard to swallow.

Then, on top of that, I went to get that cervical cancer vaccine injection, AND a blood test on the SAME ARM.

So yeah, I'm kinda sore now xD
